In the tradition of Islamic philosophy, the relationship between reason and religion has consistently been one of the most fundamental epistemic issues. Muslim philosophers have sought to provide a framework for the coexistence of philosophical rationality and religious revelation. This study addresses the question of whether religion holds a stable and fixed position within the epistemic structure of Islamic philosophy, or whether it is subject to fluctuation and dispersion. Adopting a descriptive–analytical approach, the research examines the evolution of the epistemic status of Sharia in the thought of four influential philosophers whose work significantly shaped the interplay between reason and religion. The findings indicate that religion sometimes appears as an authoritative and determining reference, while at other times it assumes a subordinate and analyzable position. The integration of religious propositions into the philosophical horizon occurs sporadically and contingently, reflecting the epistemic fluidity of religion. Therefore, the epistemic status of Sharia in the tradition of Islamic philosophy can be conceptualized in terms of “epistemic fluctuation” and “functional dispersion
