The aim of this research is to analyze the "rhizomatic" thought in the thought of the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze. For this purpose, the qualitative research method of discourse analysis by Laclau and Mouffe has been used. The scope of the research has been limited to sources in which Deleuze's rhizomatic philosophy has been considered. To achieve this purpose, the purposive sampling method has been used, and the five stages of discourse analysis by Laclau and Mouffe have been used for the method of data analysis. The data collection tool includes first-hand sources that have directly explained the concept of rhizome. To evaluate and validate the research, the perspective of experts in the field of philosophy of education was used to provide assurance to the research. The research findings indicate that the idea of rhizome is in contrast to the idea of tree. Following this contrast, the rhizome is formulated with features such as connectionism, deterritorialization, non-signifying rupture, nomadism, becoming, and so on.
