Abstract

Analysis and Criticism of the Process of Knowing God from the Perspective of Allama Tabataba'i in the First Sermon of Nahjul-Balagha

Abstract

The present study aims to answer the main question "How is the process of knowing God from the perspective of Allama Tabataba'i in the first sermon of Nahjul-Balagha analyzed and criticized?" and, after collecting relevant data, analyzes and criticizes Allama's explanation using a descriptive-analytical method. In addition to explaining Allama's words in detail, analyzes them from a philosophical perspective and compares them with other verses and narrations in this field. It has concluded that Allama, by explaining five steps - knowledge, affirmation, monotheism, sincerity, and negation of attributes - has developed a practical and operational path for knowing God Almighty based on the first sermon of Nahjul-Balagha. Despite criticisms of the details of this process, overall this process has been useful and effective in organizing the journey of man from the initial and even polytheistic stages of monotheism to its highest levels.
